What is PR?
The definition of public relations according to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations is:
The planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding between
an organisation and its publics.
In plain English, Limelight believes that PR is the total management of reputation and that it is
fundamental to a company's strategic development and reputation.

How does PR fit in the marketing mix?
Public relations is only one form of marketing. For some clients Limelight represents their sole marketing spend,
whilst others utilise PR alongside their advertising, direct marketing and sales promotion activities.
Of course, PR can and does work alone very successfully, but if other types of marketing are being employed,
Limelight believes it essential to convey consistent and integrated messages across all forms of communication.
How is PR measured?
Many deem PR to be intangible but Limelight believes this to be nonsense. It is essential to measure and evaluate
all PR activity and Limelight has developed a variety of bespoke measurement systems. Essentially, measurement
has to be specific to each individual client and should be agreed together at the outset of any relationship.
Limelight is also able to offer standard media audits of key journalists and publications, client feedback
questionnaires and a publicity equivalent value assessment.
How does Limelight work with its clients?
Limelight will of course drive the PR strategy and can call on a broad church of talent within the consultancy
to ensure a successful PR campaign. However, PR works best when there is a clear two-way approach between
consultant and client. In many ways, what you get from PR is dependent on what you put in.
How much will it cost to employ Limelight?
Limelight works in two different ways with its clients; both on a monthly retainer and on a project basis.
Limelight would need to evaluate a company's individual PR requirements before giving a specific assessment
of what an individual PR campaign may cost.
