Meet the senior team

Sandra Hobson / Director

Sandra joined Limelight as a director to lead the London team. She brings with her more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and consumer communications coupled with a passion for delivering first-class client services. Sandra’s sector expertise includes food and drink, sustainability and consumer healthcare. She has built a strong reputation for delivering excellent reputation management campaigns, strategic client counsel and commercially savvy integrated campaigns. Sandra believes passionately that client agency relationships work best when they form a close partnership based on mutual trust, candour and always being inquisitive!

Louise Vaughan / Co-founder and Managing Director

Louise has more than 20 years’ experience establishing and growing successful and award-winning communications campaigns for a wide range of public and private sector organisations including motor retailers, major high street banks, national law firms, national trade bodies, charities, media groups and Government quangos. A strong advocate for the three Cs in client campaigns – creativity, commerciality and commitment - over recent years Louise’s work has ranged from major issues and reputation management campaigns for global vehicle manufacturers, retailers, trade bodies and law firms, to launching start-ups and running celebrity-linked campaigns for major media groups including BBC Worldwide, Daily Mail General Trust and Bauer Media. Louise is a specialist in crisis and issues and reputation management and is also a PRCA UK Awards Judge.

Susanna Simpson / Founder

Susanna founded Limelight in March 2002. She is regularly tagged as a "one to watch" in both the PR and entrepreneur community. Susanna believes she was put on the planet to give people the recognition they deserve. Enter Limelight and its team who ensure this recognition is designed to help clients achieve business goals, enhance sales and to reap the rewards of thought leader status. Having always wanted to run her own business Susanna found PR age 16! The combination of meeting inspiring business leaders and exposure to a multitude of businesses hooked her immediately. She launched Limelight in 2002 and was Awarded PR Week Magazine’s young PR professional of the year. A decade on Susanna still leads Limelight and is hugely ambitious for her clients. She loves creating communications strategies with a commercial and entrepreneurial flair in collaboration with a brilliant team in London and Dubai Awards • Young PR Professional of the Year • Growing Business Young Gun • Management Today & The Sunday Times Top 35 women under 35

Nigel Howes / Chairman

As Limelight’s Chairman, Nigel is responsible for strategy and governance. His background is predominantly in the professional services environment; he has a law degree and is a chartered accountant (LLB FCA). He spent 20 years as a partner with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. He has held executive and non-executive directorships in several public and private companies ranging from start-ups to multinational groups. From his senior roles he brings extensive experience in a wide variety of sectors, including business services, manufacturing, retail and distribution, travel/leisure, property/construction, technology and FMCG.

Paul Rose / Non-executive Director

As one of Yorkshire’s leading entrepreneurs and former CEO of Rixonway Kitchens, Paul Rose has a wealth of experience in growing privately owned businesses. A former winner of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Rose led an MBO of Rixonway Kitchens’ in 2006 and under his tenure turnover more than doubled to £40m, driving the company to become the UK’s leading supplier of kitchens to the social housing sector, prior to its £34m sale to the Swedish kitchen manufacturer Nobia UK in late 2014. During his time as CEO, the business was also listed in The Sunday Times Buyout Track 100 (17) and recognised in The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 (36). He is currently Chairman of the regional development committee for The Prince’s Trust in Yorkshire and has many other business and property interests.
