Project Details

Establish Acxiom as a thought leader on a series of key industry topics, the first being big data within the marketing industry. Big data is a popular term in the technology world but the issue of big data in the marketing industry was at the time a relatively untouched topic.
Limelight conceived and created a quarterly thought leadership programme for Acxiom, the first subject being big data for marketers. The focus was a breakfast briefing at a central London venue hosted by an industry expert, along with representatives from Acxiom and Acxiom’s client base. A supporting white paper was drafted, along with a webinar and ongoing media relations and social media activity. From full event management to securing speakers, live social media activity and collating feedback, Limelight majorly contributed to all aspects of the event.
Limelight secured a strong attendee list, including M&S, dunnhumby and Virgin Media, allowing Acxiom to showcase the full breadth of its work to both current and potential clients. Indeed Acxiom converted these sales opportunities into a number of new business meetings following the event. Content was used to secure multiple pieces of media coverage; opinion pieces, blog posts and comment pieces within the marketing media. It also led to dialogue between Acxiom and the BBC in relation to possible inclusion in its Horizon programme on big data.
